well it appears that i have been neglecting my blog , but trust me - not intentionally. my lovely cable internet connection has been down for the past two weeks (damn you telstra) so i've actually had to do other things like go outside or actually attempt to do some uni work (god forbid!)
which, to tell the truth i havent done that much of. shit. holidays are over after this week, and i'm kinda dreading going back - its so easy just to go to work and then at the end of the day come home and forget about everything ...
well - c'est la vie - its my own fault, i got myself into it...

i ran into my builder friend again today, on the way to uni from work - i didnt even see him; i was just walking along, totally zoned out (as you do) when i hear this "excuse me" .. so i turned around and there he is saying "you dropped my phonenumber"
i had to laugh. thats about the worst line i've ever heard.

now, i'm not usually one to debate all this war stuff - it sickens me that it's all people can talk about lately. but, i was reading an article about defence spending worldwide - and defence budgets of each of the major world powers. the projected US defence budget for 2003 is $396 billion. the country with the second largest budget is Russia ($60 billion, bit of a difference). how can they justify spending that much money when there are so many people living in poverty in their own country? the whole thing is just despicable.

ah well , there's my rant. this weekend is going to be pretty quiet - i've got loads of assignment work to finish. argh, i'm so stressed - it's not like me at all ... ah well - holidays in two weeks .. (not that i'm counting)

today was fairly routine - (apart from a 'how YOU doin?' from a random builder type)
werk was interesting - i had to edit some Robert Rauschenberg images for production - v. nice photo montage style stuff -- wouldn't mind some on my walls!
friday @ uni is always pretty boring - computers lecture and tutorials .. i could teach this class , i'm not kidding - i spend half the time showing other people how to do things . but , i shouldnt complain - i'm never in a very productive mood on friday afternoons anyway (who is? - i'd like to know)
